Run-Walk & Children’s Run

Location: Staging is at the St. Paul Church parking lot. The parade begins at 1 p.m. at the intersection of North State Street and Old County Line Road. It proceeds south on State Street to Electric Avenue, turns east on Electric Avenue to Westerville South High School.
Theme: Home of the Free, Because of the Brave
Creator of Theme: Riley Jacopin, 1st grader at McVay Elementary School. Riley won the contest involving children in 16 Westerville-area elementary schools. She will receive a $100 award at the June 8th Rotary meeting at Villa Milano, and will ride in the parade. Riley is the daughter of Caitlin Jacopin and Sgt. Shane Jacopin, who will travel from Camp Pendleton to attend the award presentation.
A community food drive will be conducted along the parade route for the benefit of the Westerville Area Resource Ministry (WARM). Canned and packaged food items will be collected by WARM volunteers with shopping carts.
