760 pounds of generosity: Fill The Big Bus 2025 was a big success!

The Rotary Club of Westerville is thrilled to announce that the Fill The Big Bus Middle School Food Drive surpassed expectations, collecting 760 pounds of food and delivering 152 pounds to each of Westerville’s five middle schools. What a phenomenal show of generosity and community spirit!

The power of partnership

This success was made possible through the incredible collaboration between the Rotary Club of Westerville, Westerville Education Challenge (WEC), The Big Bus, and Walmart Supercenter Westerville, as well as the many volunteers, donors, and community supporters who got involved.

What This Means for Our Schools

Each of Westerville’s five middle schools now benefits from 152 extra pounds of food thanks to our collective efforts. These donations help students stay focused on learning, not hunger.

A bright outlook: $1,000 still on hand

In addition to the food collected, we’re pleased to report that $1,000 remains available to be allocated toward future food needs, ensuring this impact continues.

• WEC, for partnering and bringing the Fill The Big Bus initiative to the Night of Hope 5K & Family Fun Run

• Every member of the community who stepped up to donate, run, walk, or spread the word
