History of serving food, to serve the community

For 52 years, the Rotary Club of Westerville hosted a Lenten-season Fish Fry to raise funds for its local charitable activities. The event has helped the club to award nearly $600,000 in college scholarships – to date – to Westerville high school graduates.

But the planned 53rd Annual Westerville Rotary Fish Fry in 2021 swam into the Coronavirus pandemic. The Otterbein University Campus Center was unavailable for our event and we had no safe way to stage our normal large-scale, indoor-dining event while observing COVID safety protocols. The popularity of the Lasagna-to-Go has kept the switch in place since.

But now, we are happy to announce that the Fish Fry is back in full swing and we will continue to have the Lasagna-To-Go Event in the fall, again held at Villa Milano on Schrock Road. Watch for details of the 2026 LTG date!

THANK YOU to the Westerville community for its ongoing support of our fundraisers and philanthropic efforts!

We hope to see you again this Fall for the 2026 Lasagna Event at Villa Milano, on November 1st 2026!

The Rotary Lasagna To Go Event – a Westerville social and fundraising tradition

The Rotary Club of Westerville’s Annual Lasagna To Go Event was started during Covid-19 as a touchless “Drive Through” event since the Otterbein facility was not available for our annual Fish Fry. This new event turned out to be very popular with our community and continues to be a fun and delicious and convenient event for not only our community, but for all working Rotarians on that day.

Also, Since 1968, the Rotary Club of Westerville has staged an annual Fish Fry in Westerville. This iconic local social event has helped the Club raise funds to invest in improving the Westerville community for more than five decades!

Both of these events helps to raise the funds that facilitates the Club’s wonderful college scholarships awarded to well-deserving graduates of Westerville’s three public high schools plus St. Francis DeSales High School as well.

More than $500,000 in scholarships to local grads has now been awarded by the Rotary Club of Westerville to date, due to the generosity of Club members and members of the community patronizing our fundraisers. Thank you for your past support of this great community event!
