Get your July 4th holiday moving with the Rotary Club of Westerville’s Independence Day 5K at 8 a.m. Monday, July 4.

The race and all our Independence Day events for 2022 will take place on the actual date of the holiday – Monday, July 4.

The 5K will take place as it did in 2021 at the Westerville Sports Complex, 325 N. Cleveland Ave.

The route travels on paved multipurpose trails through the Sports Complex property, under Cleveland Avenue, along the Westerville Community Center property, down to Heritage Park, and back to the finish/start line at the Sports Complex.

Participants in the 5K receive an event T-shirt, race medal and other goodies. Proceeds go the Rotary’s charitable works, including our college scholarship program for local high school graduates.​

The schedule for the 2022 event will be:

8:00 a.m.     5K Run-Walk

9:15 a.m.     Children’s Fun Run

No Race Day registration is being offered. Preregister and pick up your packet with shirt and timing bib at the Polaris Fleet Feet store, 1270 E. Powell Rd. The final day of packet pickup for pre-registered 5K participants is from noon-5 p.m. Sunday, July 3.
