The Annual Tying of the Fleece 2026 has ended with a new record of 213 Blankets tied and sent!

This annual blanket drive is to ensure foster children have something to call their own.

My Very Own Blanket is dedicated to warming the heart of every child and teen in the foster

care system and in need with a handmade blanket or quilt, giving them a feeling of comfort,

security and most of all, a SMILE.

Globally MVOB connects diverse people, community groups, businesses and services through

this volunteer opportunity and ministry with a gift that is comforting and familiar and can

take youth in foster care from one home to another. Handmade blankets are created through

the loving care of “Blanket Angel” volunteers and donated locally! Thousands of blankets are

donated each year and personalized with the child’s name, a tradition for My Very Own

Blanket since 1999

Ways to get signed up for our next event:

We had a fantastic Ladies Night Out for our club(s) this week. We got crafty at @inspiringuclasseswesterville and made tiny plants out of beads. Who knew it could be so fun?! Everyone had their own spin on what to make. Special thanks to Beth at Inspiring U right here in @cityofwesterville who made everything perfect. Check out their list of upcoming classes! Thanks also to our guests from the Satellite club - great to get to know you better. #fellowship #fun #crafts #beads #artistic #inspired @rotarydistrict6690 ... See MoreSee Less

We had so much fun! Putting our hands to good use. Thank you for showing us the process for volunteers to sort donations.
